Happy Moments Captured - DT page for Stuck?! Sketches

How lovely to have you visit again, I hope your day is going well.
I have a boy’s page to share with you; it’s for the
Stuck?! Sketches Design Team.
CLICK HERE to see the details about the challenge.
Laura’s sketches are just a dream to work with, so why not play along
and be in the running to win one of the great prizes listed below.
I’m still on a mission to use some of my older papers by blending them with newer ones.
So happy with how these played well together.
The Green background paper is from 7 Dots Studio, "Soulmates".
The rust coloured cardstock is by Co-ordinations.
The checked paper is an ancient one from Basic Grey, Skate Shop, "Kick flip"
It was sulking in my give away pile, so I liberated it!
The little blue teddy button jumped out of his tin and shouted "Pick me"!
He dragged the daisy button out with him; doesn't he look sweet?
I've had these for so long that I don't remember where I got them,
possibly in a needlework shop in the Copper triangle (Moonta, Kadina)
I used a Fiskars punch "Apron Lace" for the scalloped edge.
The puffy arrow and sun stickers are by Heidi Swapp
and the alphas are also older stash from Prima.
The journalling is on the back of the page and it reads-

Although we pick you up after school once a week and spend 3 or 4 hours with you, it's only in the school holidays that we have you for a couple of days and overnight.  Your Daddy and Uncles taught us well; we remember that little boys must be kept busy to get the sting out of their legs.   Most of the time you are delightful, but occasionally a skirmish breaks out and I'm reminded of a quote from "The grapes of wrath" by John Steinbeck in 1938.  He described one of the feisty characters as being full of "piss and vinegar", a colourful way of describing someone who is rowdy, boisterous and full of youthful energy.  The phrase suited your Daddy and is equally pertinent to you three too.
We certainly know we are alive when you are around!  Love Granny 4 October 2016

The generous sponsors this time are:-
Creative Embellishments who are offering a $25.00 Gift Certificate.
And Wycinanka, who are offering a themed prize pack.

I enjoy reading your comments and appreciate you leaving them.  Thank you.

Happy Birthday - Guest designer for CSI

Happy New Year to you all, I have you had a wonderful Christmas.
CSI are celebrating their fifth Birthday and Debbi kindly asked previous designers
to return and join in the fun.
to see what all the talented designers have created to inspire you.
The cat paper is from Crate Paper, Cute Girl, "Sassy, impertinent".
The tiny enamel heart dot is from Prima.
The flower die cuts are by WeR Memory Keepers.
The puffy triangle stickers are from Heidi Swapp.
I used Faber Castell whipped spackle through a Jenni Bowlin stencil for the texture
and a Kaiser craft die for the Happy Birthday title.

The Scene - All five Colours used were used.
The Evidence - I used Triangles, Banner, String, Enamel dots,
Leaves, Cooking inspired item (cupcake)
The Testimony - Document a Birthday
I chose to scrap these fun pictures about a “Hello Kitty” party.

If you've never played along at CSI, this is the perfect case file to start with.
It comes with a great sketch by Em Stafrace as an added bonus.

I love reading your sweet comments and thank you for taking the time to leave them.

Wish - DT for Stuck?! Sketches!

Hello Scrappy friends, welcome to my blog and Happy New Year.
Today I'm sharing a page for STUCK?! SKETCHES!
Why not click on the link and see what the rest of the team have designed to inspire you?
I recently got my hands on some of the delightful 49 and Market papers.
This range is "Heirloom Botanicals" and worked well with the colours in the photo.
The flowers were fussy cut from a matching sheet of Heirloom Botanicals.
I hand stitched the semi-circle at the top and did some random stamping.
The fabric star came from Charm's creations, who is one of our generous sponsors this month.
I'm trying to write on some of the layouts....hmmm...not convinced it's a good idea
it wouldn't get a tick from Sr. Romanus!!
We are so lucky to have our Grand daughter's company every week,
she is such fun to have around.

I hope you will enter the challenge and have a chance to win one of the super prizes.
Charms are sponsoring a $50.00 gift certificate.

Accent Scrapbooking are sponsoring a $25.00 gift certificate.

Thanks for calling in.  I love it when you leave a comment, I so enjoy reading them.

Remember - Kraft+ DT January 2017

Welcome back Scrappy Friends and thanks for visiting today.
A brand New Year with no mistakes in it!
I’ve been a long time admirer of Kraft+ and was delighted to be invited to join the team.
I feel like I’m standing on the shoulders of giants;
as I’ve learned so much from these artists.
Thank you for the opportunity Sandra.
To be eligible to win one of the many prizes,
make sure that your work is on Kraft cardstock.
Use the phrase "On your bike" to inspire your page.
I thought this was a cracker of a challenge.  I was inspired by the blue shutters and the white washed feel of the mood board, as well as the theme, "On your bike"
Because I chose travel photos, I wanted to keep the layout simple.  The circle shape and the upside down figures hint at travel around the globe.
The Kaisercraft paper, Base Coat Collection, "Cracked" matched my photos perfectly.
The bike charm is from Sirrah Sirrah.
The wooden figures are from Freckled Fawn.
And the gorgeous flair is from Studio Fourteen40
Here's the journalling, if you are interested and unable to read it on the page.

You have a whole month to join in the challenge
and have a chance of winning one of the fabulous prizes from our generous sponsors.

Your kind comments make me smile; thanks for leaving some love.
